As a leading COMAH site with a dedication and commitment to the highest standards of Safety
Health & Environment (SHE), KemFine Grangemouth also enjoys an enviable reputation as
one of the best performing chemical manufacturing sites in Europe.
Changes in the global demographics of the chemical industry, together with an increasing
focus on innovation and smaller scale, higher value manufacturing, however, have enabled
the release of up to 30 acres of prime brown field land for new development.
In partnership with Scottish Enterprise Forth Valley (SEFV), a
site diversification programme has been launched to attract new business to the site. In addition, opportunities
are also being pursued for the incremental increase in use of the Site's state-of-the-art Combined Heat &
Power and Effluent Treatment facilities.
Over £3 million has been invested in land preparation programmes to ensure easy access to
key utilities and services and to help facilitate the low cost entry and support for manufacturing
or general commercial businesses moving to the site.
Earls Gate Park and Earls Gate Environmental Services were launched in March 2004 to bring
together the combined skills of KemFine, SEFV and a number of specialist consultants to provide
professional advice and support to potential new tenants.
